Ongoing School and Family Support
Support does not end with a diagnosis. As children move through different developmental and academic stages, families often benefit from continued guidance to help maintain progress, adapt school supports, and respond to new challenges as they arise.
Support Beyond Diagnosis
ADHD Coaching and Ongoing Support
Ongoing therapeutic follow-up sessions and ADHD coaching are available to help children, adolescents, and families continue building practical strategies, emotional regulation skills, organization, and academic support over time.
School Advocacy and Planning
Families may need continued support around IEP implementation, school accommodations, teacher communication, documentation updates, and planning for changing academic expectations.
Family Consultations Over Time
As children grow, family dynamics, learning needs, and emotional stressors often change. Ongoing consultations provide a space to review progress, reassess concerns, and refine support strategies when needed.
Support Through High School and University
Many families continue working with Dr. Barnsley through major academic transitions, from elementary school into high school and, when helpful, through the first year of university.
School and Community Workshops
Consultation, educational talks, parent workshops, and school-based presentations are also available for schools, childcare settings, and community groups seeking support around child mental health, learning, or behaviour.
Zoom Follow-Up Appointments
When preferred, follow-up appointments may be held by Zoom, making it easier for families to continue support across Victoria, Nanaimo, and surrounding communities.
